The Vice President (VP) of TSP is a senior leadership role in the company who works closely with the President of Quantitative Sciences and the Chief Science Officer to lead, guide, and direct the strategy of the functional unit. The VP plays a significant role in providing management and guidance to Group Leaders within their unit. They are responsible for resourcing all projects within the unit and for working with other Vice Presidents in Quantitative Sciences to resource cross-disciplinary projects, ensuring that all unit scientists are fully utilized on external or internal projects. The VP of TSP oversees the professional and scientific development of Group Leaders and provides support to other scientific staff in modeling and simulation analyses. As a senior leader in the company, the VP participates actively in all company scientific endeavors, including strategic goal planning and implementation, and represents the company externally for purposes of business development and community engagement.
Ph.D. degree in a scientific discipline (pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacokinetics, mathematics, statistics, biomedical engineering, systems biology, or a related field) or Master's degree with relevant experience, or equivalent.
Experience: 10+ years of direct postgraduate experience. Demonstrated technical abilities and desire to advance the science and assume a leadership position within the company and scientific community.
The job frequently requires working at a computer terminal, standing or sitting, and the ability to operate the computer with proficiency.
The work environment is quiet with no adverse conditions.
