Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization and execution of key internal initiatives and client projects. With a strong focus on communication, management, budgeting, and exceptional organizational skills, the Project Manager ensures the successful delivery of projects in a technology services setting, typically working with cross-functional teams, including engineers and analysts, within an Agile framework.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
  • Participate in the design and implementation of project management standards with a focus on Kanban methodology
  • Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of multiple projects in parallel
  • Assist in the development of project scopes and objectives, to ensure logistic feasibility
  • Aid Director of Product Management in appropriately assessing availability and allocation
  • Develop and implement a detailed project plan to track progress on project boards
  • Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Provide administrative support in project meetings.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Manage relationships with external clients and other stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Requirements, Skills

  • 5 years of experience professionally managing projects and project teams, preferably technical teams
  • Experience managing teams performing analysis
  • Proven success managing multiple projects in parallel within a consulting/services firm environment
  • Ability to build consensus among teams
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Agile and/or Scrum Kanban methodology
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Ability to coach others in adapting to new ways of working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence software a plus
  • Experience with Kantata project management software a plus

Education and Experience

  • A 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Must have 5 years of professional experience in a project management role.
  • Certificates in agile project management and practices such as Six Sigma preferred.

Physical Demands

The job frequently requires working at a computer terminal, standing or sitting, and the ability to operate the computer with proficiency.
